Total Power was founded in Spring of 2009 by Jorge De Guzman and Derek Seider. Jorge and Derek met for the first time while working for a generator company located in Boca Raton, Florida as sales representatives for the Miami- Dade County area. After a few years as colleagues, they decided to embark on their own entrepreneurial journey and opened Total Power. Immediately, they became a Generac Dealer. Their company grew sooner than expected as they continued to build trust with their clients. Derek later decided to resume his career in the medical field after receiving an offer he could not turn down from a prominent organization. Today Jorge and Derek are still best of friends. Jorge with the support of his wife Ana continued expanding the company through their hard work, dedication and honesty. Today Total Power is one of the top 3 Generator companies in South Florida. Total Power is a licensed and insured Gas and Electrical Contractor. They excel in turn-key installation of stand-by generators completing thousands of Installations in the South Florida area. In addition, we continue to provide annual service and maintenance to all our customers.

Installing a home backup generator is an exciting time. Total Power & Gas Contractors will prepare the installation site outside your home, place the generator, run the natural gas or LP fuel line, install the transfer switch, and make all of the necessary electrical connections. And we will make sure that your backup generator runs properly, and is ready for its first power outage.
You invested in a Generac automatic home backup generator, and now you’re never without power. But just like a car, air-cooled backup generators need to be properly maintained to perform as intended. We recommend you have your unit serviced every 6 months. Our factory-trained technicians are available to handle all your Generac servicing needs.
